Important Safety Notice
At Super Indian Grocery, customer safety is important to us. We ask all customers to remain alert while shopping, follow displayed safety warnings and take reasonable care to protect themselves and others.
A grocery store may contain potential hazards, including wet or slippery floors, fallen products, broken glass, sharp edges, damaged packaging, unstable displays and temporary obstructions. Please report any unsafe condition to a store employee immediately.
Slippery Floors, Spills and Falling Hazards
Water, oil, food, liquid products and other substances may accidentally spill onto the floor and create a slipping hazard. Customers are requested to:
- Walk carefully, particularly near entrances, refrigerators and freshly cleaned areas.
- Observe wet-floor signs, safety barriers and warning notices.
- Avoid walking through spills or restricted areas.
- Notify store staff immediately about spills, leaks or slippery surfaces.
- Never assume a floor is safe simply because a warning sign is not present.
Please do not attempt to clean hazardous spills yourself.
Fallen Products, Sharp Edges and Broken Items
Products may accidentally fall from shelves, shopping baskets or trolleys. Certain items, including glass jars, cans, damaged packaging and sharp-edged products, may cause injury. For your safety:
- Do not touch, pick up or move broken glass or sharp objects.
- Keep children and other customers away from the affected area.
- Inform a store employee immediately if an item falls, breaks or creates a hazard.
- Follow staff instructions and temporary safety barriers.
- Do not attempt to repair damaged shelving or product displays.
Customers should exercise reasonable care when handling products and avoid actions that could endanger themselves or others.
Shopping Trolleys, Baskets and Aisles
Please use shopping trolleys and baskets carefully. Avoid leaving them unattended in walkways, blocking exits or creating trip hazards. Customers must not climb on shelves, reach into unsafe displays or attempt to retrieve products from unstable stacks. Please ask a staff member for assistance if a product is difficult to reach or appears unsafe.
Children and Vulnerable Customers
Parents and guardians are responsible for appropriately supervising children in the store. Please ensure that children do not run through aisles, climb shelves, touch broken items or play with shopping trolleys and other equipment. Customers who require assistance navigating the store may ask a staff member for help.
Accidents, Injuries and Emergency Assistance
If you experience a cut, slip, fall or another injury while visiting the store:
- Move away from immediate danger if it is safe to do so.
- Notify a store employee or manager as soon as possible.
- Request appropriate first aid or emergency assistance.
- For serious injuries or immediate danger, call 000 in Australia.
- Where appropriate, provide accurate information about the incident to assist with incident documentation and hazard prevention.
Please report accidents even when an injury initially appears minor. Reporting helps the store assess hazards and take appropriate corrective action.
Customer Responsibilities and Legal Limitations
Customers are requested to take reasonable care, follow safety instructions and promptly report hazards they observe. However, this notice does not transfer all responsibility for store safety to customers. Super Indian Grocery will take reasonable steps to identify and manage hazards in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
